Cameras began their travels on June 29, 2006, and journeyed from bookseller to bookseller until the end of August. In September, David Wiesner will review all the pictures and select the top three that interest and intrigue him.

Participating stores were asked to be creative, have fun, take a new look at the world through the viewfinder at anything at all. Pictures could be quirky or poignant, humorous or profound. As the cameras travel, David Wiesner will post daily about his work, children's books, and the flotsam all around us.

Photographs and the locations of participating bookstores will be listed here when David Wiesner's FLOTSAM site opens to teachers, librarians, parents, and kids in September to celebrate the arrival in bookstores of FLOTSAM.
